Science now recognises everything is energy. When energy is low or blocked within us internally, this leads to disease.

In China, powerful energy cultivation exercises (Qigong) and martial arts (Tai Chi) have developed over thousands of years, inspired through the observation of nature. Both have positive benefits for our health and wellbeing. Thankfully, Cheng Man Ch'ing (The Professor) began sharing these arts with the western world in 1964. An impressive, growing body of scientific research and personal testimonies around the world now help us to understand the importance these ancient arts can have for us all.

Presently, these classes are only available to adults.  They are aimed at beginners.  The register for the class is limited to 17 spaces, available on a first come, first served basis. 

You do not need to be a parent or member of staff at the school to attend.

We care about sharing the benefits of Tai Chi & Qigong, making them accessible and fun to learn. We provide a relaxed and friendly environment while maintaining a professional standard of teaching. To ensure the highest standard, our instructor Lee Welch is:

• A Tai Chi and Qigong practitioner since 2015, trained by a number of Tai Chi and Qigong Masters. 
• Certified as an instructor of the British Health Qigong Association
• Certified as an instructor of the Dr Paul Lam's Tai Chi for Health Institute
• Passionate about Tai Chi and Qigong, and take his Continuous Professional Development seriously, keen to make these arts accessible to a wide audience.
• DBS Certified
• Trained in first aid

If you enjoy the free class and decide to join, in addition to the in-person classes, you will also be provided access to the Tai Chi Globe Portal, a growing body of material compiled by Lee Welch of his own material, research and recommended content from across the internet.  This includes support material for the in-person classes.

From 21 February 2023, Bledlow Ridge Village Hall classes take place every Tuesday at 10:00 am,  subject to the Instructor's availability.
